Hi y’all! Feels so good to be back writing. Finding time lately to blog, well is challenging to say the least. I’m embarking on a new phase of my design career that has spanned over 18 years. Some of you know that I moved my home office, finally, into a commercial space 6 months ago with Andrea McLaughlin , my other design associate and another designer Tara Camp, of Scout Goods and Design. All of us were really too busy when we moved in to really use the office space , and figure out our goals, ideas for the space. Fast forward to April and we’re getting ready for an Open House May 4th for our local builders, designers, real estate friends and clients.jvw home will fill a niche in this area for “on trend” wallpapers, window treatments and fabrics that can be ordered, amongst other design services and products. Tara will fill a niche for “on-trend” lighting & mirrors showroom along with great furniture & decor discounts. We will also feature other local interior decor products and introduce them along the way. We all share space with Direct Natural Stones which is a wonderful curated supplier of gorgeous granites, marbles and quartz. Together all of us have collaborated to have the Open House to finally share with our community all that we have to offer. Now, onto even more fun news. We’re SO over the moon excited to announce our latest addition to the tribe: Rachel Spadavecchia!
Here’s her bio here:
From a very young age I have been obsessed with all things home interiors and design. When I was young I would watch HGTV over any other channel on TV and still do. My husband Mehdi and I, with our two children Hendrix and Lila, have lived in 6 homes, in 6 years, in 3 states, building two of those. Some might think we’re a little crazy and sometimes thats how I feel, but I wouldn’t have it any other way! I love designing homes from the ground up and then seeing those designs come to life. We are already dreaming of our next build! I blog about our homes as well as my designs at www.spadastudio.com. I have always helped friends and family with their own home designs, and hope to be an inspiration to my followers.
My professional career has always been on the creative side as well, including digital marketing, social media marketing, and content creation. I have had the privilege of working with some amazing people in multiple different industries, including the fitness industry, real estate, and hospitality, but it has always been my dream to work in the interior design world! I am thrilled to come on board with JVW Home and apply the skills I have learned in other industries while I learn from some of the best designers in our area.
We hope to start blogging and sending you newsletters along the way and keep you updated with our studio happenings regularly. Stop by after May 8th , at our Spicewood locale to welcome Rachel, peruse our wallpaper & fabric books, set up window treatment or design consults and see what all we have to offer. Make it a great day and we hope to inspire you to create your own lovely in your homes!
